Tips for Clear Skin Starts with Water
Believe it or not water plays a huge role in how our skin looks. Without enough water your skin can become dry, unappealing and even cause you to look a bit older than necessary. Water hydrates the body and flushes the toxins from our organs which filter through on a consistent basis. A buildup of toxins in the body can result in an unhealthy outer appearance as well as sickness and disease.
Tips for clear skin #1, drink more water… You should consume at the least half your body weight in ounces each day of good clean water. Distilled or spring water with a little bit of pink salt added for minerals is an effective way to get your daily dose of clean water. Drinking tap water or partially filtered water will only introduce toxins back into the body defeating the purpose of the detoxification process. Hydrating for the purpose of detoxing is the first step in the process of achieving clear skin.
Tips for clear skin #2 Exfoliation is a Must!
Have you ever seen anyone with a face full of black heads or skin that just looks rough even if they moisturize? It’s because they don’t exfoliate enough if at all. Exfoliating is the process of washing or rubbing the face with a granular substance to remove dead skin from the surface of the skin. When we exfoliate, it removes the old dead skin allowing new skin cells to be revealed. Exfoliating regularly can improve skin texture as well as the appearance of the skin. Using a spa quality product in addition to a facial scrub like, “Exfoliating Peel” from It Works helps to speed up the exfoliation process, fading acne and age spots. People that suffer from regular acne breakouts should also consider including diet changes such as eliminating sugar and processed foods from their diet.
Tips for clear skin #3 Let’s Not Forget Nutrition
The skin also benefits from vitamins and minerals which can help you to have youthful looking skin. Adding quality vitamins and minerals to your diet can even reverse damage done to the skin over time. Nutrition is highly important to the body altogether. When you nourish your body your face also reaps the benefits revealing beautiful and glowing skin. However, if you are one of those people who don’t have time for juicing or don’t have a juicer at all? Adding a green juice supplement to your diet is a fantastic way to substitute. It cuts down on both time and the mess of the juicing process. I like to double up on the recommended amount to get even more nutrition.
Tips for clear skin #4 Moisturization 🙂
If you are not already doing it, wash your face with a moisturizing facial cleanser and add a daily moisturizer to your skincare routine. With all the stress our skin gets from the natural elements including exfoliating, we must restore moisture back into it. Choose a nourishing skin moisturizer to apply each time you wash your face. Taking care of your skin early on in life can prevent premature aging and even prolong your youthful skin.
