Trying to stay on top of the ever-changing world of beauty products can be a tremendous task. Thanks to social media outlets like YouTube, and beauty bloggers around the world, there seems to be a new trend or “it” product every other day. However, some trends tend to have an everlasting effect. We’ve compiled a list of trending beauty products that we believe will have staying power throughout 2017.
Face Sheet Masks
Sheet masks are just a part of the amazing world of Korean beauty and skincare. These cloth-like masks are infused with heavy amounts of essence, serums and nutrient-rich extracts that give the skin long-lasting nourishment. The sheet mask trend is here to stay because these masks are truly effective at delivering nutrients and minerals deep into the skin.
Black Charcoal Masks
Have you seen the hilarious videos on social media of people peeling off some type of black gunk from their faces? If so, then you have seen black charcoal masks in action. Charcoal masks are one of the best ways to remove blackheads from problem areas such as the nose, forehead and chin. When applied correctly, removal isn’t painful and your blackheads will be no more.
As more women have embraced their naturally curly hair textures the need for moisture-stripping shampoos and hair products has declined. Women with curly hair have been using less and less shampoo, opting instead to use plain water and conditioner to wash their hair instead. In response to this trend, beauty companies have created cleansing conditioners and co-wash (conditioner-wash) products to address the “no shampoo” trend. Cleansing conditioners are simply conditioners with gentle cleansing agents added that cleanse the hair without removing necessary oils from the hair.
Face Cleansing Oils
For years we were taught never to put oil or oil-based substances on our faces, especially if you suffer from oily skin and acne. However, in recent years we’ve seen certain oils being used as cleansing oils and makeup removers. Face oils gently remove impurities, dirt, and makeup from the skin without stripping it of moisture. When used properly and in conjunction with a proper skincare routine, facial cleaning oils can boost moisture and hydration to the skin while removing all traces of dirt, makeup, and “bad” oils.
